Visa 884 - How It Helps?

With a contributory parent visa 884, you can:

• Stay in Australia for two years.
• Study and work in Australia until you are there.
• Apply for a permanent contributory aged parent visa subclass 864.

To apply for the Visa, you have to stand out on certain crucial requirements:

• You should have already applied for a sponsored parent visa 870 if you want to apply for this visa subclass.
• You must get sponsorship from an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Or if your child is under 18, you can be sponsored by an eligible relative or a community organization.
• You must belong to the age category where you can receive a pension in Australia.
• Your current visa shouldn’t have any ‘no further stay’ condition on it.

• You won’t be granted this visa if the application is not in the best interests of a child under 18 years.
